( invitation into Sir Terence Conran's London flat )

Last week I received a very exciting e-mail... I was lucky enough to be personally invited by MyDeco, into the inspirational world of Sir Terence Conran. I have literally just got back from the event and had to write this post straight away! I was so excited to wander from room to room with my camera in hand, taking photo after photo of the former home of one of my favourite designers... I'm still grinning from ear to ear.
Before I go on, I want to say a huge thank you to the MyDeco team for inviting me. I also met some lovely fellow design bloggers who I really admire. It was a great evening, so thanks to you all.
Conran's apartment is one of those places that you walk into and don't know what to comment on first... My eyes lit up where ever I looked...
(Word to self) "Calm down Stu, and stop waffling", hehehe. I'm so excited about sharing this with you all - Just so classic and timeless... I literally cant wait to show you my photos for you all to make your own opinions on this beautiful apartment. Please note that a few items of furniture are from the new Conran range for Marks & Spencers.

( happy friday - vacation time... )

As of 7:00am tomorrow morning, I will be in the air on my way to pure bliss. My friends and I will be escaping the not so nice weather of London, for a week of pure relaxation and sun. I am going to sit back by the pool or on the beach, eat great food, and even take lots of photos, if I manage to leave my sun lounger.
Happy Friday, and I’ll see you all in a week :)

P.S. I am attending an amazingly exciting Bloggers Event tonight which I was very kindly invited to by MyDeco. I will tell you all about it on my return to London next weekend.

( friday's palette - timber, pastel & wine)

Your Friday Colour Palette...
Three words I adore, hehehe. I loved this Mallorcan townhouse when I first saw it... All the colours in this interior are stunning and are all favourites of mine. It also helps that the interior is stunning too. I particularly like the back dark timber back wall... very sexy, and pulls this large interior space in, making it very comfortable. There is a great mix of strong tones combined with lovely pastel tones, which I have displayed in my colour palette below... enjoy :)

( laure joliet's interior shots )

I came across these beautiful interiors whilst looking at the fabulous blog Lark & Linen... Thank you Jacquelyn :)
The interior shots are photographed by photographer Laure Joliet. Laure is a Los Angeles-based photographer specializing in interiors, lifestyle, architecture and table-top for online and print editorial, design portfolios and advertising. I have selected a few of my personal favourites below. The first image has to be my favourite... and I know I say this a lot, but if, when I win the lottery, this will be mine! hehehe :)

( african stone house )

This house near Pretoria, South Africa, was built with stones taken from the local ground area. The Architects at Slee, focused on the views east and west, at the request of the owners.

The main reason for sharing this project with you was not so much the architecture to be honest, although it is very nice, but the interior details... I mainly wanted to share this first image. I really love that they have used an old joinery work bench as a console table. The old framed map is really beautiful too :)

( beautiful barn renovation )

When I spotted these images last night, all I could say in my head was 'I want,  I want, I want!'
This gorgeous picturesque barn renovation by architect Russell Groves has that perfect balance between rustic elegance and modern sophistication.
All the original beams and flooring were carefully restored to their former glory. I love the mix of modern, custom-made and vintage furniture together with rough and smooth textures and materials. These cleverly chosen and designed pieces combined with the harmonious interior architecture, really make this a very comfortable and glamorous home.

( metal vases )

Check out the new vases from the Day Home collection by hviit. The raw industrial style caught my eye straight away. I love the shapes of all of them and the welding spot details... It adds great character :)
